Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy explains how OpenRaise Pty Ltd (ABN 86 702 106 947) ("OpenRaise", "we", "us") handles personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who this policy covers

Visitors to openraise.com, people who contact us or request a demo, users of the OpenRaise platform (corporate advisers, issuer representatives and investors invited by an adviser), and individuals whose details users record on the platform.

Information we collect

  • Contact and professional details, such as your name, email address, phone number, firm and role.
  • Account details, such as your login email, role and access settings. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we do not see them.
  • Platform content entered by users, such as deal information, documents and investor contact records. This can include the names, contact details and investment preferences of investor representatives.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and error and diagnostic data.
  • Your communications with us.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health or financial account details. Please do not upload it to the platform.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you (for example, through forms, your account or email), from users at your firm or your adviser who record it on the platform, and automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

Where a firm records information about other individuals, such as investor contacts, that firm is responsible for having the right to provide it and for giving those individuals any notice the law requires.

How we use it

  • To provide, operate and secure the platform.
  • To respond to enquiries and demo requests.
  • To set up and manage accounts.
  • To prepare the drafts and models users request.
  • To improve the platform.
  • To send updates you have asked for.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

AI processing

Some features, including Orbus, send the information needed for a request to third-party AI model providers to prepare a draft. We use providers whose terms do not permit them to use this information to train their models. Every output is a draft for the user to review.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers who host, secure and support the platform, including hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, error monitoring, analytics and AI model providers. They are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Users at the same firm, and others that firm chooses to share deal information with.
  • Our professional advisers.
  • Others where required or authorised by law.

Separation between firms (information barriers)

Each adviser firm's workspace is kept separate. Investor books, deal records, documents and notes created by one firm are not visible to other firms or their users. Within a firm, access depends on the roles the firm assigns. Issuers see only what their adviser shares with them, and investors see only what an adviser chooses to share. OpenRaise staff access customer data only where needed to support, secure or maintain the platform.

Overseas disclosure

Our primary database is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Some service providers store or process information in other countries, including the United States and member states of the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to sign you in and keep your session secure. We also use analytics and performance tools to understand how the site is used and to fix errors; these report usage in aggregate. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies are needed to sign in to the platform.

Security and retention

We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and restricted staff access. No system is completely secure. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Marketing

We only send updates you have asked for or that the law permits. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
